Jack Daniels 150 Anniversary

This composition and sound design job for Jack Daniels 150th Anniversary was a very interesting, challenging and rewarding job to compose. The brief was to create a piece of music that seamlessly transitioned musically from the 1860s to now. The challenge was that we had to be flexible enough to allow for edits, extending or shortening each section. So each section for each era was recorded separately with a cast of session musicians, then edited together in post to create one seamless piece.

I've composed, performed and recorded the music scores for dozens of episodes of the Emmy Award-winning kids show Bluey along with the theme composer Joff Bush, which has become an international phenomenon. Bluey has won awards worldwide and was recently named the #1 most streamed show in the US. The Bluey Albums have also smashed records worldwide recently surpassing 250 million streams.
alex&eve

Alex and Eve is a feature film that I composed and played the score for, this was one of the most fun projects I have ever been involved with! The score is a real fusion of traditional Greek and Lebanese music with modern elements. In order to play and record some of the score I bought a traditional Greek Bazouki and ordered a hand made Oud (a traditional Arabic Lute) from Syria, and taught myself to play them. Alex and Eve had an extensive worldwide cinema and TV release, winning critical acclaim and a large enthusiastic audience.

This was a fun project I composed for KitKat, some ad jobs like this require music that walks the line between music and sound design. Had great fun on this one!
Qantas Welcome to GREAT Britain

This project for Qantas and Visit Britain was a job I did for Junkee Media, I was basically given the visuals with no audio whatsoever, so for this job I did both the music composition and sound design - lots of time syncing up things with particular hit points!
Telstra 360

Telstra360 was a campaign that won multiple awards - it was an interesting exploration of 360 video and how to combine music with action in a format where viewers may or may not be looking at a particular subject in the frame. So the challenge was to walk the line between music and sound design - there needed to be accent points associated with particular actions, but they had to make sense musically too as if a viewer was not watching that particular action it could sound weird and distracting to have foley or straight sound design. So the sound design had to work in a musical context.

This job for EFTPOS was more of a straight ahead corporate kind of job from a composition standpoint, but that doesn't mean it's any less challenging to do a good job of it.....
Gruen Thank You Health Care

I love it when music is an integral part of a campaign when it's written into the story as such. This was a pitch for the TV show "Gruen" in Australia, The brief was to write a campaign to thank healthcare workers during Covid. We decided to write the script from the point of view of the young daughter of a healthcare worker, whose bedtime song had turned a little dark as she worried about her mum. I had my own young daughter sing this track, and its simplicity is quite powerful. Wonderful lyrics written by Angus Woodhead from McCann.

Multi-award-winning composer Steve Peach has been creating music professionally from a young age in the 1990’s. First signed by INXS publisher Chris Gilbey, he was then brought under the BMG Music Publishing umbrella as a writer/composer for many years, where he composed music for numerous TV shows, films and advertising clients including ABC’s A Big Country, Home & Away, Burkes Backyard and many Peter Luck documentary productions.

Steve also worked as a freelance CD Mastering engineer, the final stage of overseeing the sound quality for the CD release. One of his main clients was Universal Music Australia, and Steve mastered many platinum-selling albums and hit singles for Universal Dance....
